Play, Pause, Groove: Video Game Jazz Reinvented

8-bit Funk is Ireland’s premier video game jazz fusion band, blending the energy of funk, samba, jazz, and beyond with the nostalgic magic of gaming’s greatest soundtracks. From the retro 8-bit era to modern classics, our arrangements bring new life to iconic tunes from Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, and more.

Led by prominent musicians from Ireland’s jazz scene, we deliver an electrifying mix of nostalgia and musicianship. Whether we’re grooving to Bob-omb Battlefield (Mario 64), swinging through Dragon Roost Island (Zelda), or bringing Littleroot Town (Pokémon) to life.
